Employability and access to the labour market of young people in the Basque country, from a European regional comparative perspective (Economic and Social Council of the Basque Country)
The aim of this study is to analyse the present and future employability of Basque youth and their access to the labour market from a comparative perspective at European level. This general objective can be broken down into the following sub-objectives:
1. Design a solid methodology and answer the questions raised in the technical specifications
2. Develop a demographic, educational and labour market panorama in the Basque Country, and in particular of the young Basque people, for the period 2000-2015 and, if applicable, trends for the next decade
3. To outline future employment characteristics in the Basque Country, taking into account the foreseeable trends in employment in the context of Industry 4.0
4. Conduct a comparative analysis with the Basque Country with three European reference regions regarding the situation of young people in the labour market and policies to promote their employability, identifying successful processes in this regard.
5. Prepare a summary of all the above, drawing conclusions and formulating considerations for their assessment by the Economic and Social Council.
