The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions has awarded Panteia a study on the creation and development of jobs in care and support services for people with disabilities or health problems. The objective is to examine job creation and retention particularly in the social care sector in 10 EU countries, describing the current situation and highlighting which measures have proven successful in developing both the numbers and quality of the care workforce. The study is undertaken between October 2012 and April 2013. Partners of Panteia’s European Social and Economic Network (ENSR) involved are the Austrian Institute for SME research, the Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development, Oxford Research Denmark, Credoc, IfM, Techinvest, IKEI and the Kingston University. The information is collected on the basis of desk research and in-depth interviews.
